Richard Whitaker & Sons Ltd

The business was founded c 1849 as the Stannery Inn Brewery and moved to the Seedlings Mount Brewery on Corporation Street in 1867. Registered as above in April 1890. The company was acquired by Whitbread & Co ltd in 1968, together with some 135 public houses. Brewing ceased in early 1969.
