Beer labels added to ‘Brewers in Scotland’

Just keeping you all up to date, and a bit of history as well. Just the one label from the breweries which combined to form Edinburgh United Breweries in 1899, a rather tatty example from the Edinburgh & Leith Brewing Co. Two other companies involved were Ritchie & Sons and Robert Disher & Co. Labels which used their names, but were issued after the formation of Edinburgh United, are illustrated. Edinburgh United was closed down in 1935 by Customs and Excise and the business was bought by John Jeffrey & Co. Labels which continue the Ritchie and Disher products from Jeffreys are there for continuity.

Also added are labels from Archibald Campbell, Robert Deuchar, Drybrough’s, Gordon & Blair and John Fulton. Please enjoy these labels and if you have a cleaner example of the Edinburgh and Leith or labels from breweries we have missed; Ayr, Banff, Cambuslang, images at 200dpi would be most appreciated.
