On a very hot day (well it was in London) just over a dozen members made the effort to travel to the Royal Oak, close by Borough Market. It was good to see a couple of faces, who have not been around for a while, together with one potential new member. However, the highlight on the membership front was to meet with Peter & his wife who traveled from Cyprus for the meeting (OK it did coincide with one of their planned trips to the UK, but it should make some of you feel at least a tad guilty). There was a healthy amount of swapping, buying & selling taking place and I think pretty much everyone went home with some new additions. Hopefully those who raided the bottles stalls in Borough Market, made it home safely with their new acquisitions. They must have been heavy by the end of the day.
Oh yes! the beers were excellent as usual and after fighting one’s way around the market, one or three were badly needed!
So, all in all another successful London meeting and another is planned for January next year, no doubt a summer 2015 may well feature as well.
