Cask Labels #2

It is going to be very difficult to follow the Magee, Marshall example that started this series, but we have to continue. I just hope this one from John Roberts Three Tuns Brewery in Bishops Castle is very nearly as interesting. However, I have to admit, the use of half-tones is nowhere near as effective.

Nice simple design with good variation of typefaces. Obviously not as intricate as Cask Label #1, but I guess that didn’t have anything like the budget of MM for design & print.

You are quite right Percy. Great design, someone who understood symmetry; and there are two very similar labels in existence an X and an XX which I suspect were lower in alcohol content. Either that or there were different amounts of caramel added to the wort.
